Special Olive Oil Harvest Programa and Wine

A unique seasonal experience dedicated to one of the Alentejo’s most important products: olive oil.

During the olive harvest season, guests have the opportunity to discover the entire journey of the olive, from the grove to the bottle. The experience begins in the estate’s olive groves, where we learn about the different olive varieties, traditional and modern harvesting methods, and the importance of olive growing to the landscape, culture and economy of the Alentejo.

Whenever harvest conditions allow, guests can see the olive harvest taking place and understand how the fruit is collected and transported to the mill. We then continue to the working olive oil mill, where the freshly harvested olives are processed. During the visit, guests are introduced to the different stages of production — from cleaning and crushing the olives to malaxation, extraction and storage — and learn what makes a high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil.

The experience includes a guided technical olive oil tasting, providing an introduction to the aromas, flavours and characteristics of different olive oils, as well as practical tips on how to recognise quality and how olive oil should be tasted and enjoyed.

The program is completed with a traditional Alentejo lunch, accompanied by wines from the estate, creating a complete gastronomic experience centred around the region’s wine, olive oil and local cuisine.

This is a particularly special experience because it is only available during the olive harvest and offers the opportunity to visit a working mill at its busiest and most exciting time of the year.
